Do not understand why it costs so much about 300+ euro. While usual Irons cost less than 100 eur… and they make steam too.

It all sounds so convincing what @Obediente writes here. But it also sounds so… How to say it more precisely… As if it’s been copied from an ad.
I mean, I have no doubt that Philips gc9660/30 is an excellent iron. However, it would have been much more convincing if someone shared some real-life experience here.
One thing I really don’t understand is why you need to have a constant steam? What’s the benefit? There are all kinds of materials and clothing. For some you need steam, for some you don’t. I truly doubt you’ll find a single person on Earth who irons everything with steam on… So, yeah, I find it kind of confusing.
Are you ironing all your clothes with steam? I don’t think so…
